Craiova LC and Cetatea Băniei LC completed the implementation of the GRANT MAT20211 / 124 project - "Improving the treatment conditions for the children with cancer at the Craiova County Emergency Clinical Hospital" through which the wards of the Pediatric Oncology Department within the Dolj County Emergency Hospital were renovated, sanitized and equipped with furniture and equipment. The 26,000 $ grant obtained from the LIONS International Foundation, USA, as well as the contribution of the two clubs of 8,000 $ went to the renovation and rehabilitation of the 7 salons with 32 beds, 4 bathrooms, a treatment room, a playroom and a lobby / waiting room. The renovation and the rehabilitation of the Oncopediatrics department involved stripping the floor and walls, removing the debris from the stripping, repairing the walls and ceiling, tiling the floor, tiling the walls, replacing sanitary ware, applying washable paint, purchasing bedding , bedside tables, tables, chairs, sofas, refrigerators, microwave, waiting benches, sanitary ware, linen, window rollers, window grilles, wall decoration, wall protections, games, cleaning services. The works carried out within the section amount to 200,000 lei, thus bringing an extra comfort to the children hospitalized in this section as well as to their parents and attendants. The six months of the renovation, rehabilitation and arrangement works were a proof of solidarity, understanding and involvement from volunteers, sponsors and medical staff in the Oncopediatrics department. Its new look would not have been possible without the participation of the young people fromLeo Craiova &Excelion.Three talented Leo-Denisa, Ana&Ingrid have decorated part of salons with works from which the characters from such beloved stories will smile to the children. Everything to make their hospitalization easier! This project could not have been carried out without the support of private companies who donated their time, services and resources in order to achieve this much-needed goal.
